About the Crew

Killed when the Wellington stalled while trying to clear telegraph poles during a forced landing attempt. Adams had only 18 hours of daytime Wellington flying experience and no recorded night experience.
A 24-year-old trainee pilot with limited Wellington experience. He was unable to maintain height on one engine after the starboard engine failed.

The pilot attempted a forced landing but stalled trying to clear telegraph poles, crashing into a cornfield at Grimston Hill.
