P/O Barnett was the younger brother of Wing Commander Denis Barnett (later Air Chief Marshal), who commanded 40 Squadron between 4 June and 23 December 1940.
Crew matrix amended to include Sgt A E Hall, Sgt A C Catton, Sgt F Graham, LAC G H James. Summary amended to include details of a Blenheim incident at Carnedd Llewellyn, Snowdonia on an unspecified date.
